I've been reading alot of different argument's in the forums about who's country is the strongest. Well...I have done some research for everyone. To back up these facts go to : www.globalfirepower.com . Now...For all you debaters, heres how it goes. 1. U.S.A, 2. China, 3. Russia, 4. India, and the U.K at number 5. Note that nuclear capability is not taken into account. As far as Total Available Military Manpower, China ranks number 1 with 729,323,673. India number 2, U.S 3, and Russia fourth. Let's move on to Aerial-Based Weapons. Here it's no surprise with the U.S having the number one spot with 18,169. And then Russia with 3,888. This is where technology would be a major factor. Now we have Total Land-Based Weapons. The numbers here really are something to look at. This is where Russia has a huge advantage over everyone with the the Largest mechanized military in history at 79,985. The number 2 country, China, doesn't even come close to those numbers at 31,300. Keep in mind that alot of China's mobile force is hand me downs from Russia. And coming in at number 3 is the U.S with 29,920. Nato commanders have stated that if Russia ever decided to launch a full scale attack on Europe. The only way to stop them would be a Tactical Nuclear Strike. Now we have the Navy. Don't worry. There is nothing too shocking about this one. The U.S is number 1 with 1,559. Double what the number 2 or 3 spots have. The one thing to keep in mind in this category is that Russia is rebuilding it's fleet, with 6 aircraft carrier's to be constructed and operational by 2016. They also have a new class of Nuclear capable subs already in operation. Now you have to say, what's the use of having all this hardware if a country can't afford to have them? Well...I have the answer to that too! Oil Production by Country (Barrels per Day)...Saudi Arabia 11,000,000 bbl, Russia 9,870,000 bbl, U.S.A 7,460,000 bbl. The U.S consumes more oil than any other country on Earth. 20,800,000 bbl to be exact. So you see. We have to rely on other countries to keep us going. And finally we have Total Reserves of Foreign Exchange and Gold per Country. China, as you may already know is at the top spot with $1,534,000,000,000. Then Japan $954,100,000,000, and finally Russia at number 3 with $476,400,000,000. Notice you did not see the U.S in this category. I hate to say it but the U.S didn't even make the top 10. Add Nuclear weapons into this whole crazy mix and things get pretty scary looking. Just a little food for thought. Let me know what you think.
